The San Miguel Communities that Care Coalition is a coalition of parents, youth, teachers, and others who are working to support youth in the Telluride School District and to reduce adolescent substance use in the Telluride region. As a part of that work, and in cooperation with the school district, we have surveyed students using the Healthy Kids Colorado survey in 2017. Along with student attitudes and perceptions, we surveyed parents and community members about adolescent substance use in our community.
The San Miguel Communities that Care Coalition and the Telluride School District will utilize these results to inform our work in supporting the youth in our community. In addition, these results will help us to apply for and receive grants to support youth and to reduce substance use among youth. We are a community that empowers our youth to be healthy, productive, resilient and engaged If you have any questions, please contact Tri-County Health Network at (970) 708-7096 or info@tchnetwork.org.
